Julian Noott

Julian has a passion for teaching golf. He derives great satisfaction from introducing beginners to the art, science and craft of the game and tweaking the frustrating minor ailments that inevitably creep into the swings of low handicap golfers. Having been a member originally it was a dream come true for Julian to return home after working in Bedfordshire for over ten years. With that in mind when approached to design the New top 9 holes (now over 12 years old) it seemed like all his wishes had come true.

Alun Evans

Alun Evans first joined Newport Links (formerly Newport Pembs Golf Club) in 1983 as a junior and quickly rose through the ranks, earning County and International Amateur honours and winning the Dyfed County Championship twice. Turning professional in 1993, he played extensively on the West Region circuit and competed for a European Tour card. In 1997, he became a fully qualified PGA Professional, later winning the East Region Assistants Championship in 1999. Alun has held Club Professional roles in both England and Wales, eventually returning to Newport Links, where he continues to coach. With 27 years of coaching experience, Alun is a highly respected PGA Professional and currently serves as County Coach for the C&P girls.
